jernih
dalamnya ombak yang kaku
pelangi yang tertangkap
pernah lihat dakwat
pekat yang
menitis dalam air secawan
menari sebelum melarut
guli kaca
keras
dihempas ia melantun
meninggi lagi
walaupun retak
walaupun sompek
ombak yang kaku
pelangi yang tertangkap
kacanya pudar
warnanya terus.
aku tidak pernah lihat
guli yang pecah.

Haha. To be honest, i had to google around for the meaning of cacophony, and as far as i discovered, it has something to do with the aliteration and assonance involved in the choice of words and structuring of sentences. I had no intention to construct any specific sound effects when writing this poem.
I’m more concerned on the clarity and abruptness of the image and imagery expressed. And if there’s a literary term for that, I don’t know it. I don’t refer much to theories when I write =)
