The question [] is not whether we should follow Imam Shafi`i or the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace)—any Muslim who has a single brain cell knows the answer to that question. The question is whether to follow the Sunna of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as understood by Imam Shafi`i, or to follow the Sunna of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as understood by the mysterious, unnamed person, who is probably the author of the book that you’re holding in your hands.
